Decorative Faux Animal Heads

I am really liking the look of faux animal heads these days, they look almost better than the real taxidermy animal’s heads. I am personally not offended by the real thing because my family and myself have deer heads in our interiors for decorative purposes. Restoration Hardware has a great selection of real animals right now. I am seeing that there is a veriety of animal heads out there to choose from. Z Gallerie has nice glossy white resins. Also I’ve seen these cardboard animal heads from Uncommon Goods that are pretty neat also.

I just saw some really cool ones at the Alameda Flea Market today. They had a small black buck with cute little antlers and a few others. Does anyone know why these are so popular?
