It’s no secret that I like anything tufted. Everything from sofas to chairs, headboards, ottomans and benches. Tufted furniture helps add a feeling of softness, glamour and sophistication to a home.

Here are a few inspiring tufted headboards I found, there’s so many different looks and styles that would suit most anyone’s personal taste. Lately I’ve been doing a lot of research because I am planning on making my own very soon, hopefully next weekend..crossing my fingers! While doing research I found that it’s not that difficult to make your own tufted headboard. However, it is time consuming…that’s ok for me cause I really enjoy DIY projects!

This headboard is a DIY project that is made from Cre8tive Designs blog. A nice pretty teal velvet tufted headboard that I am so smitten with, its made by Stephanie. Her “do it yourself project” that she did explains how she made her creative pin and tuck style tufting, step-by-step which is really helpful.

I thought this was an easier way to get the tufted look but with a twist. All you need is a wooden flooding shelf, a few hooks and a tufted seat cushion. It’s a great tufted Headboard alternative.

A dramatic looking white tufted headboard, the white and cream colored headboards are my favorite. Cozy, clean and crisp!

A pretty soft blue-gray velvet headboard. The gold mirror, gold border around the table lamps and bedding adds a nice sophisticated look to this bedroom.

Love the Suzani throw, it accents the dark brown headboard nicely.

This chartreuse tufted headboard from Horchow is so glamorous, a bit more modern, toned down and also a daring color.

And again these are just a few tufted headboards that I like. There’s so many different looks to go for. Also, a plus of making your own headboard is you have the luxury of choosing any fabric & could decide how much or little tufting you want. That’s the plus side of making your own or having one professionally made. In the end it’s made exactly how you want it.

What are your thoughts on tufted headboards and furniture?

Happy Friday!
