Dining Room Makeover Week

It’s finally the weekend! I’ve been busy all week re-decorating my place with re-painting, buying new furniture & inspired by the last post I posted earlier this week. New metal dining chairs, slip covers, and a pendant light to complete the dining room area in my little space.

I purchased this dining table (image above) I found at a garage sale last Summer and I knew I wanted to re-paint it but wasn’t sure which color to choose. Then last weekend I found on a two-toned painted furniture or also called “dipped paint trend” and that’s how I finally found what I wanted to do with the dining table as far as painting goes.

I used a black hi-gloss Clark + Kensington paint & primer on my dining table. It gave it a shiny texture. Oh, my only thing I forgot to buy was painter’s tape. But I was lucky and found black duck tape instead and it ended up working just fine.

The black and white dining table turned out fantastic. My sister suggested painting the bottom half a different color then white but I love the way it looks now and may end up painting a different color later, or not.

Just another fun home decorating project week spending a lot of time between ACE Hardware and World Market:-)
