DIY Holiday Decorations: With Moss & Turquoise

It finally feels like the holidays. Lots of stormy wind and rain in the San Francisco Bay Area and I’ve been busy working away on my decorating projects. It’s the perfect hobby to do especially when the weather is cold and rainy outside. Friday I went by the craft store to pick up some materials I needed to get my projects going. I picked up seven bags of lime green moss, two mini wreaths, turquoise ribbon, (lg., med., and sm. shaped foamed scones and command damage-free hangers to hang the sm. stick wreaths I purchased.

Below is a neat image of my DIY project before I went to work on my holiday crafty project.

The Command hangers really came in handy when I went to hang the two wreaths up with the turquoise ribbon.

I definitely burned my hand a couple of times while glue gunning the moss onto the wreaths and tree scones but it was well worth it once I was all finished. However, the hot gluing process flowed by with a nice glass of wine and some Pandora radio.

The stick wreath on the front door I’ve had for a couple of years now and just hot glued the moss on it for an extra touch.

(Materials: hot glue gun, hot glue sticks (a bag), ribbon (5 to 10 yards depending on the size of your windows), large, medium and small foamed scones, one larger sized wreath for the front door, two mini wreaths, scissors).
