Flea Market: Euro Linens

Last Sunday I went to the Alameda Flea Market which I try to go to every month if I’m not too busy or out of town. I went with my two good friends and our first stop was at Euro-Linens. They had a great selection of grain sack bags, towels, pillows and fabrics to choose from. If you’re in search of French linens, grain sacks, pillows, rag book pillows, modern looking pillows, authentic euro shams or French Mill sacks they have it all. The pillows they have are beautiful but a bit pricey.

So if you know how to sew, I would recommend just buying the fabric and making your own pillows, napkins etc.

I must say I loved that they made sachet bags filled with dried lavender. They tied the bags with twine but you could use any type of ribbon or string to make it look prettier. Next time I am there I’ll have to buy several yards of fabric and make my own sachet bags, they would make for sweet gifts.

They have a website which can be seen here.
I think they go to most of the larger flea markets in California, but if you don’t have them in your area I am sure you could special order directly. It’s so nice reusing things that were used for other purposes and giving them a new life. Each grain sack is completely different and unique looking so you will surely help bring more character to your home!

I always have to visit Euro-Linens when I go to Alameda – I love their linen shifts too! And especially the patchwork pillows, I know how much work goes into them ~
