Ever since I watched an episode of Dear Genevieve’s show on HGTV, I’ve been loving the look of Turkish bath towels. Genevieve re-designed a master bathroom for a couple and the inspiration was Turkish bathhouse style. The focal point was head to toe tile and it turned out beautifully.
Turkish towels are made of cotton from the Aegean region. The nice thing about these towels, the fibers help with absorbency. However Turkish fibers is not the longest fiber available, that honor goes to Egyptian Cotton. Turkish towels get even softer with age and washes, not worse like most towels. Another thing to keep in mind is not all Turkish towels have a fringe, but the ones that do add the best Eastern vibe to bathrooms.

(These towels are great to bring to the beach, swimming pool or sauna because they’re nice and big and light weight. They also dry quickly and are very easy to wash)

I grew up using these towels in Istanbul and I have started to bring traditional Turkish bath towels (peshtemals) to USA 3 years ago and yes, once people use them, they love them and never want to go back to the thick heavy terry cloth.
They are hand woven in Buldan, Turkey.
Please check my website and feel free to contact me. I would love to send you samples/gifts for you to try.
