Glass Pendant Light DIY

Last weekend I visited my family in Northern California for Mother’s Day. I noticed the pendant light over the kitchen table was different and I thought my mom had bought a new one..

To my surprise she told me when she was cleaning the original light
that it fell and broke! The original glass was hand blown glass from a local artist in Petaluma California. She said for a temporary fix she replaced a clear glass flower vase and didn’t want to just have the light bulb without the glass. I was stocked because I thought she bought a brand new pendant light. So, if you have a light that is similar to this pendant light you can change up the look of the glass by using clear glass vases!
Only thing is you have to make sure the top part of the vase is wide enough and will hold when you go to screw it in to the light. My mother is so creative and I always learn great tricks and new decorating ideas from her..
Just another quick fix if you have a decorating disaster!
Here is a similar look of the light my mom had over the kitchen table from Sundance Catalog.

Hi. I really like the meridian pendant lights you have shown. I actually need nickel hardware…does this light come in that? I am looking for a unique pendant light for over my table. This is cool! Thanks!
