Isn’t this a lovely home? The photos below are from the new House Beautiful magazine of the Hollywood Hills home belonging to interior designer Tobi Tobin.

I saw this from another blogger and just had to share these photos from House Beautiful. It’s a similar style of how I want to decorate my new place, you can see more from the new magazine May 2013 issue when it hits stands on April 23rd.

I love that there are lots of Natural woven fibers and decorative accents throughout Tobi’s home. From the sisal rugs on floors, to the grass cloth wallpaper in the foyer and the sea grass runner with black trim on the stairs, it is so tastefully done. Clean, natural and classic and not to busy, a perfect look for California lifestyle. A perfect palette of black, natural fibers and white with a few prints to mix it up.

Beautiful foyer with gloss front door (above).

This rustic and modern dining room looks a lot like my parents dining room. I like that this house looks like a cozy family home and it’s not too over the top where you don’t want to relax in the space cause it too pretty, it’s all about calm and relaxed design. I guess I’m more drawn to more natural fibers these days and not big on bright colors. Note the sea grass rug, parsons chairs, beautiful chandelier and a reclaimed wood dining table makes for a awesome place to entertain family and friends. (above)

I would have never thought about putting a chandelier in the kitchen hanging above the sink but it actually looks amazing. And I’m loving the black gloss cabinets with the white marble, it looks so rich but not over powering. (above)

A relaxing outdoor living room and fireplace surrounded by mature trees. Fun mix of woven furniture and gray & white pillows blend in great in the garden. (above)

What are your thoughts on this Hollywood Hills home? Do you like the use of natural fibers as much as I do?

P.S I’ve been sooo busy moving to my new place all last week, wow!! I finally have had a chance to actually blog again today, it’s been way too long.

Between wedding planning, moving, volunteering and squeezing time in with family and friends there never seems to be enough time in the day. Well, I’m back and ready to turn my blogging time up a notch.

Also what I’m really excited about is I have my own art/ craft/ blogging room now and I have a ton of decorating projects to get started on. So, that means many DIY projects to blog about and share:-)
