I’ve been thinking a lot about clawfoot tubs lately in bathrooms. My parents have one and I loved bathing in it growing up. If I were to remodel a bathroom I would have a Clawfoot Tub installed over a Spa Tub any day! They add so much architectural character with their unique style. This kind of tub is used for soaking and can also be used for showering.

The great thing about clawfoot tubs is the option of matching tub filler. Also there are a variety of choices available to fit many styles.

Another great thing about clawfoot tubs is you can purchase a new or used tub and the old ones can be restored. I personally prefer the old tubs because they have more character. Oh and I found a site that does restore these tubs at eHow Home website..petty cool!

The pink may be a little much but it definitely wins the cute award!

If you’re not interested in plain white tubs you can paint the exterior of clawfoot tubs..I just discovered that. By adding color to the exterior of these tubs makes them more playful! This would a great idea for a kids bathroom..or adult.
