Today I wanted to share with you this modern kitchen design that I was quite drawn to, the main point being its pendant lighting. The overall design of the kitchen I am not a huge fan of, mostly because of the dark wood cabinets and counters. I have dark granite counters and I’m constantly having to clean them since they show every piece of dirt or lint which drives me nuts because I’m a clean freak.
However, the contrast between the subway tile backsplash and dark counters does look so stunning. What really caught my eye was the metal bar mounted onto the ceiling with pendant lights dangling over the kitchen sink. I think this would make for a great DIY project, you could always hire an electrician to help you install it if you’re not confident in doing it yourself.
To me, I like how the lighting is different shapes and sizes using these simple Edison light bulbs. Not only do they look good, but I’m sure they provide a good amount of lighting over the kitchen sink for a work space.
What a great idea and it also looks good. Below I gathered a few lighting sources that are somewhat similar to the kitchen design from the photo above. I thought this would come in handy if you are interested in re-creating this kitchen lighting design.

Esty- Brown Bare Bulb Pendant Lighting — Hanging Minimalist Lamp Edison Exposed Filament Swag Light Fixture $75.00 (image above).
Another cool look would be a mix (4-5 lights) of these exposed Edison pendant lights. A similar look but with more of an industrial feel.
What are your thoughts on these multiple pendants lights and designs in this kitchen?
