A week ago when I wrote a post on equestrian decor I found an artist named Matt Rogers. He paints beautiful oil painting of horses and colorful landscapes.
Matt Rogers studied at The Art Institute of San Francisco and now lives St. Helena California.
Roger’s work is inspired by the visual manifestation from his youth and from his travels and life experiences. Other mediums Roger’s works with are sculptures, drawing, printmaking and of course painting. I personally haven’t seen his other work, only the landscape series and horses series from the website.
Here are a few photos of Matt Rogers Series “Dark Horse”:

AMERICAN DRESS OIL ON CANVAS 48 x 60 INCHES
Check out more of his work on his website..
So, what are your thoughts on Matt Rogers horse paintings?
I personally thought Roger’s did beautiful work conveying the true energy, movement and spirit of horses. I could tell that he has really studied horses movements and truly captures their anatomy in an artistic way.
Horses are big part of my life and anything horses, I always admire:-)
