Old linen textiles have a way of warming the soul with their timeless elegance and beauty. European Linen grain Sacks!! I’m obsessed! I see them everywhere…In antique stores, flea markets and boutiques online. The linens are very durable and are even machine washable as well. (Make sure to ask the sales person before you wash them, just to be on the safe side.) Grain sacks are ideal for upholstery, tablecloths, cushions, table runners, bedcovers, stair runners, bath mats and many other creative uses & ideas.

These grain sacks are about a 100 to 150 years old & imported from Europe. The stitched lines on the sacks represent the different farms, so the farmers could identify their gain sacks. I thought that was so interesting when the sales amazing gentlemen at Uber Chic Christian Brady shared that with me. What I loved about these grain sacks when I bought a couple of them was that I could smell the earth.
I am thinking about making mine into pillows but right now they’re being used as a throw over my sofa.

What kind of ideas do you have for repurposing these amazing vintage grain sacks?
