Thoughtful Day (via)

Wire Accent Pieces seem to be pretty popular this year for 2012. This look is easy to recreate by adding accent pieces for more interesting and trendsetting space in your home. Simply start by adding wired accent pieces such as pendant lights, side tables, chairs, and even outdoor & indoor furniture. You could either go bold with this trend or subtle, it’s really up to you. The look of wired furniture and accent pieces are popping up all over the modern design world, but it’s pretty versatile in which ever design style you lean more towards. Also, another thing to watch out for is the industrial metal wirework paired with bold color choices. Below are just a couple of home accessories and accent pieces for some design inspiration.

West Elm-Wire Lanterns
$19.00 – $49.00

Vintage Industrial Wire Basket by Zinnia Cottage – $40.00

Kohl’s- Otero Wire Accent Table (sale $89.24 originally $104.99)

A couple of twists as seen in the photos above are pops of color or of course you could always stick with the traditional silver metal option. I like the vibrant hues, as they really amp up the classic look which is even more risky but fun.

Home Infatuation- EMU Metal Mesh and Glass Outdoor Dining Table.

Designer Seating-Wired stool chairs with leather seat $250.00

West Elm-Small Wire Pendant- In White $99.00.

What I really like about the wire trend is it’s a traditional accent piece that seems to be more vamped up with the geometric metal wire-work and styling. So, whether you decide you’re looking for a new focal piece of furniture or want to change up your lighting, wired accent pieces are pretty hot and will be for a while in the design world.

What are your thoughts on this trend? Would you decorate with more colored wire accent pieces or stick with white & silver?
