I took a day trip out to Tomales Bay yesterday and hit up one of my favorite oyster spots called Tomales Bay Oyster Company.

They have local and Washington oysters & clams. You can order them to go or you can grill and eat them there. I went during the week but on the weekends that place is packed full. They have plenty of BBQs and picnic tables available so you or your friends and family could enjoy eating freshly cooked or raw oysters out on the bay.

The day I went it was a bit overcast but on a sunny day it’s a more enjoyable.

I took my oysters home to grill them, I personally prefer grilled or BBQ’d over raw.

Recipe from Simply Recipes
16 whole live oysters
(small or medium)
2 cloves garlic, finely minced
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon chili pepper flakes (or substitute with dashes of Tabasco)
1/4 teaspoon salt
cracked black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon finely minced parsley

My family loves eating oysters and if you’ve never tried them I hope you will because you’re missing out!
